for all age groups

 for all age groups

“A wonderful and important article for all age groups. The Swedish sociologist: (Per-Johansson), who taught sociology at Stockholm University, wrote an article for the elderly, outlining his personal experience after his retirement from working and teaching at the university, entitled (The Last Quarter of Life), where he says: Yesterday I was a young child wondering where those years of life went?! I know that I lived it and remember glimpses of my hopes and dreams in it...but suddenly I discovered that I was living the last quarter of my life, and that discovery astonished me... Where did all those years go!? When and where did my youth leave? How many elderly people have I met and known throughout my life!?
How much did I think that the old age that characterized them was far from me!? That's when I was in the first quarter of a life's journey, and the fourth quarter was so far away from me that I couldn't imagine what it would be like when I reached it.. But.. here is the fourth quarter, it has stormed my door, crossed my threshold, and robbed me of my youth. My friends are retired and grey. They move slowly, hear with difficulty, and understand with difficulty. Some of them are in better condition than me and some are worse. But I see the huge change in their conditions. They are not like the people I remember. We are now those people (elderly) that we used to see and never imagined that we would be like them.. Today, I have come to see that just taking a shower is a real goal for the day, and taking a nap is no longer optional. It is mandatory!! Because if I do not take my nap of my own free will, I will fall asleep where I am sitting!!
And so I enter the new season of my life unprepared for the aches, pains, and loss of the ability to do things I wish I could do but never did!! How much I regretted the things I wished I had not done, and how much I regretted what I should have done and not done. I also discovered that there are many things that I was happy to do during my past life. So... if you are not in the last quarter of your life yet, let me remind you that it will come to you faster than you expect, so whatever you want to achieve in your life, do it quickly... do it today... do it now, live today well, enjoy your day, Do something fun, be happy. Remember that “health” is real wealth, not gold, diamonds, and palaces
You should know and prefer to keep in mind the following
Leaving the house is good, but returning to it is better!
You will forget names. That's okay... because some people have forgotten that they even know you!
Things you used to do, you are not interested in anymore
You will sleep on the sofa or chair while watching TV
You will sleep better than if you were sleeping in your bed
You will use short words such as: (Yes, No, What?), When
You will regret the many clothes in the closet, half of which you will never wear
Everything old will have more value than before in your life, such as: old songs, movies, and foods from the old days, especially old friends! Scientist Pierre concludes by saying: “We know very well that we will not be able to add time to our lives, but we can add life to our time
